Our Mission Statement

To improve the quality of life for Kiwi families by creating warmer, drier, healthier and more energy efficient homes

We do this by providing affordable, energy efficient insulation installations, heating and ventilation solutions, as well as access to significant government and third party grants and subsidies.

100% Kiwi-owned and operated, we cover the Auckland region, most of Waikato and the western Bay of Plenty regions.

Since 2011, we’ve delivered quality and affordable energy solutions to over 50,000 happy customers – from your typical mum and dad family home to private landlords, and group property managers to name a few.

Our Team

Our experienced and friendly team of home energy assessors, insulation installers, electricians, and quality control auditors will provide quality solutions and workmanship for your peace of mind.

They bring passion, energy, fun and a great wealth of experience to their work. We are extremely proud to have such an amazing group of young men and women who are dedicated to delivering such important work to our communities.

It has been our great privilege and honour to see so many young men and women grow into capable young professionals in front of our eyes.

Our Story

GreenSide (formerly known as GreenStar) Energy Solutions, had its beginnings in the Global Financial Crisis (GFC).

In response to the GFC, and to help stimulate the economy and create jobs, the Government allocated almost $250 million dollars to EECA (Energy Efficiency and Conservation Authority) to use for grants for insulating Kiwi homes.

GreenSide, was one of the first companies to be involved in the scheme, and it was during this time, working with Kiwi families who were living in poorly or uninsulated homes, that we saw the real difference we could make.

And it wasn’t just our customers that we could help.

With many of our friends and family out of work because of the financial crisis, we were able to bring them on board to meet our growing demand.

In one month, GreenSide went from three to 25 staff, and we haven’t stopped growing!

Over the years we’ve added more services to help us fulfil our purpose of creating warmer, drier, healthier and more energy efficient homes. 

In addition to EECA, we’ve added a range of partners who share our mission and are helping us improve Kiwi homes, one family at a time. We were thrilled to be able to work with EECA and Foundation North and be a part of a video, highlighting the massive impact this programme has had on families.
